Job summary

Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Iowa is seeking a Banquet Server to deliver meals and provide friendly, responsive service at a variety of events, including weddings, meetings, concerts, and receptions on site.

You will greet guests, deliver food and beverages, assist other servers, and learn buffet, plated, and reception style services while maintaining clean, professional areas. This role is on-call with days, evenings, weekends, and holidays and includes tipped compensation.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to carry trays of 20+ pounds.
• Ability to work under time pressure with a positive attitude.
• Desired: basic math and cash register skills; previous restaurant, banquet, or hospitality serving/bartending experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
• Greet guests and accommodate needs at events.
• Communicate with guests about the menu and options.
• Deliver food and beverages from staging areas to guests.
• Assist other servers during peak periods with service requests.
• Learn buffet, plated, and reception style service per RCGR standards.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• Respond promptly to requests in a courteous manner.
• Set up, execute, and clean up for events.
• Perform side work to prepare for upcoming events.
• Maintain clean service areas at all times.
• Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
