Job summary

Avion Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Server to assist with setup and service for assigned banquet functions. The role requires friendly, service-oriented interactions, attentive attendance, and adherence to brand standards.

You will read the Banquet Event Order, maintain appearance, and support smooth operations while following safety and certification requirements. This is an on-site position at compatible venues within Avion’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations).
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns of coworkers and guests.
• Must understand basic arithmetic and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in line with Avion Hospitality standards.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
• Comply with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
• Comply with certification requirements for the position (Alcohol Awareness, Food handlers, Safety, etc.).
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
• Perform preparatory tasks and side work to ensure prompt service.
• Read and understand the Banquet Event Order and menu for assigned functions.
• Serve guests according to hotel standards in a courteous, professional manner.
• Respond to guest problems or complaints by escalating to management when needed.
• Know current hotel policies and safety rules.
