Job summary

Avion Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Server to handle setup and service for assigned banquet functions. You will work with guests and team members in a fast-paced hotel environment, ensuring timely, courteous service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include reading and understanding Banquet Event Orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the banquet area, and complying with safety, alcohol awareness, and food-handling certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification required by state regulations.
• Clear communication and ability to convey information effectively.
• Ability to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work well under stress and maintain composure.
• Good listening skills and understanding of guest concerns.
• Ability to work with financial information and basic arithmetic.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Set up banquet events and serve guests promptly and courteously.
• Read and understand Banquet Event Orders and menus for assigned functions.
• Maintain attendance and dress per brand standards and schedules.
• Comply with safety and alcohol-handling certifications and regulations.
• Clear banquet spaces and restock supplies after functions.
• Attend meetings and perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
