Job summary

Avion Hospitality in Houston is seeking a Banquet Server to set up and service all banquet functions. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with Alcohol Awareness Certification and other safety certifications required by state regulations.

You will read Banquet Event Orders, understand menus, and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner while maintaining the banquet space and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel/related experience preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
• Ability to convey information clearly and work well under pressure
• Able to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders and menu
• Basic arithmetic and guest service skills

Responsibilities

• Set up and service for all assigned banquet functions.
• Read Banquet Event Orders and be familiar with the menu.
• Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Maintain banquet space and store room clean and stocked.
• Respond to guest problems and refer to management when needed.
• Attend meetings as required by management.
