Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a kitchen prep teammate in Gulf Shores, AL to support daily food production. You will assist with pantry, fry stations, and other areas, ensuring high-quality, visually appealing dishes while maintaining sanitation standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 months in food/beverage roles, basic cooking and knife skills, and good English communication. This role offers competitive pay and benefits in a beach-adjacent property context.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• 3–6 months in a food/beverage service environment.
• Knowledge of operating industrial ovens and ranges.
• Familiarity with preparing diverse cuisines, relishes, soups and salads.
• Basic cooking skills and knife handling.
• Understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Set up and rotate stock, date and store perishables properly.
• Plan prep for shift needs, check pars and inventory.
• Assist in maintaining buffet and kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation throughout the shift.
