Job summary

Valor Hospitality seeks a friendly Banquet Server to deliver exceptional guest experiences at our Gulf Shores property. You will greet guests, explain menu items, and help ensure events run smoothly with attentive service and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 months in food and beverage, a TIPs certificate, and the ability to read English. You will work in a fast-paced environment and support setup, service, and post-event duties with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3–6 months experience in food/beverage service.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• TIPs certification required.
• Manual coordination to handle trays.
• Vision to read checks and operate in dim lighting.

Responsibilities

• Verify banquet details by reviewing BEOs and ensuring setup matches contract.
• Know function menu and explain ingredients.
• Coordinate with Banquet Captain on special requests.
• Set dining tables per rules and specifications.
• Greet and serve guests per service guidelines.
• Maintain clean station and dining area.
• Deliver items, replenish utensils, and clear tables.
• Handle in-room clearing and buffet setup.
• Assist Lead Banquet Server with setup/breakdown.
• Follow guest check and payment procedures for service.
• Complete assigned side work.
