Job summary

The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump, a flagship property of Shamin Hotels, is seeking an experienced Banquet Cook with a creative flair and a passion for food and hospitality. This role focuses on producing high-quality banquet meals and supporting flawless event execution.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, maintain food safety standards, collaborate with the banquet team, and help with setup, service, and breakdown.

Qualifications

• Experience as a banquet cook with ability to prepare high-quality banquet meals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to banquet event orders and standardized recipes.
• Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of banquet food stations and buffets.
• Ensure all food is cooked and presented on time and to the company’s standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and storage.
• Monitor food stock and report shortages or needs to the chef or supervisor.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and banquet team to ensure successful event execution.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food items as needed.
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the brand with pride.
• Other duties as required.
