Job summary

Chelsea Groton Bank is seeking a Customer Solutions Specialist to deliver outstanding service, support everyday banking needs, and educate customers on financial options. The role involves cross-training in operations, customer service, and consumer and business products.

You will engage with clients, participate in community events, and help with loan and deposit solutions while maintaining strong compliance and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent; 3+ years cash handling, customer service, lending, supervisory experience.
• Effective coaching and leadership skills required.
• Able to train and motivate Financial Care Professionals.
• Strong communication, math, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engages with customers inside and outside of the branch, educates and assists with branch events and initiatives.
• Connects with the community through events, referrals, and partnerships to drive business opportunities.
• Maintains expert knowledge of bank products and services; opens and processes consumer and business deposits and credit solutions.
• Interview loan applicants and recommend appropriate consumer loans, cards, and small business products; monitor from application to closing.
• Demonstrates small business, tech and consumer credit skills for complex customer needs.
• Supports supervisor in evaluating performance, training milestones, and promotional recommendations.
• Handles a variety of customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and teller duties.
• Assists with account maintenance, notary services, online banking demonstrations, and safe deposit access.
• Balances transactions and cash, including ATM and branch settlement.
• Helps staff with balancing, account issues, and policy overrides as needed.
• Maintains branch safety, vault and cash handling procedures and access controls.
• Ensures documentation and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
