Job summary

Woodforest National Bank is seeking a Banker in Columbus, OH, to be the frontline ambassador and grow retail customer relationships through exceptional service, proactive marketing of banking products, and precise operational execution.

You will work in a fast-paced, service-oriented retail branch, handling teller transactions, account openings, and support for digital banking tools while upholding Woodforest’s core values of Ownership, Service, Community, and Integrity in every customer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in retail sales or customer service.
• Prior in-store retail banking experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to accept coaching and feedback to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for delivering strong retail performance by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions.
• Act with accountability in achieving individual sales goals through proactive conversations, referrals, and marketing outreach.
• Demonstrate ownership in resolving customer inquiries or concerns at the first point of contact, utilizing internal partners as needed.
• Maintain operational excellence through accurate transaction processing, account opening, and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Explain complex solutions in a simple to understand way.
• Deliver the Woodforest Experience by creating warm, welcoming, and personalized interactions with every customer.
• Engage customers to understand financial needs and explain retail banking products and digital solutions clearly.
• Provide dependable, efficient service with professionalism in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Support digital banking tools and platforms.
• Build relationships with customers and community members as a trusted neighborhood bank.
• Participate in local retail marketing efforts to drive branch traffic and customer relationships.
• Collaborate with branch team to support community events and promotions.
• Uphold ethical standards by safeguarding confidentiality and complying with policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain flexibility to support additional branch duties as needed.
• Perform branch servicing duties including teller transactions, cash handling, balancing, and vault activities.
• Open and maintain deposit accounts and consumer loan products with accuracy and compliance.
• Follow branch security procedures and remain vigilant in protecting the bank, customers and team.
• Maintain training on products, services, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
