Job summary

Southern Michigan Bank & Trust is seeking a dedicated Teller/Universal Banker to deliver high-quality customer service and process financial services. You will maintain confidential records, support branch operations, and promote bank products while meeting productivity standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing accounts, handling cash, and assisting customers with loans and electronic services. This on-site role requires professionalism and strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Cash handling experience, retail or financial experience preferred.
Customer service experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain customer relations by providing high quality customer service.
Assist customers from start to finish acting as a full relationship manager.
Perform normal teller duties daily.
Interview customers to obtain information and proactively sell bank products and services.
Open and close accounts using needs-based techniques.
Assist customers with understanding loan options and complete loan closings.
Support electronic services, Wealth Management, and other departments with referrals.
Maintain branch appearance and assist with lobby management.
