Job summary

CSG Talent is partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer for its Baltimore, MD office. This leadership role oversees the Baltimore Water/Wastewater team, guiding design delivery, mentoring engineers, and coordinating resources to ensure the successful completion of municipal projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Maryland PE, has 15+ years of relevant experience, and demonstrates a strong track record in client relations and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Maryland.
• Minimum 15 years of water and wastewater design and project management experience.
• Strong background in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Experience as Engineer of Record and providing technical oversight.
• Knowledge of design standards, QA, and project delivery."
• Established Maryland/Mid-Atlantic contacts are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Revit, BIM, or BioWin is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Baltimore Water/Wastewater engineering team.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, workload planning, and resource allocation.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
• Promote collaboration across engineering disciplines and regional offices.
• Support the growth of the local engineering practice.
• Provide senior technical oversight across design, project execution, and QA.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on selected projects.
• Review designs, specifications, and project documentation.
• Ensure projects meet technical standards, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and engineering processes.
• Maintain relationships with municipal and public-sector clients.
• Support business development, proposals, and project pursuits.
• Participate in client meetings, project planning, and strategic discussions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide technical and commercial input into project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
