Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Baltimore seeks a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer with progressive experience in planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater systems, including transmission mains and sewer rehabilitation. Construction phase experience is a plus. The candidate will manage design oversight, lead technical tasks, mentor staff, and contribute to technical proposals.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering (ABET) and Maryland P.E.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater system planning, design and construction.
• P.E. registration in Maryland, or the ability to obtain via comity within 6 months.
• Strong oral and written communications, presentation skills, and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, and provide design oversight of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets; deliver projects on time and within budget with quality.
• Participate in construction phase activities, including pre-bid conferences and post-bid evaluations.
• Lead project planning from procurement through execution and closeout; monitor status and controls.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
