Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater team in Baltimore, MD. You will support planning, design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, working with Project Managers and technical specialists to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will develop technical deliverables, help manage scopes and schedules, and mentor junior engineers while building strong client relationships across a varied project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 5+ years of municipal water/wastewater project experience.
• PE licence or active pursuit.
• Experience in drinking water or wastewater systems design.
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines and with clients.
• Strong communication and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in planning, coordination and delivery.
• Develop technical solutions for water and wastewater projects.
• Assist with scopes, schedules and budgets; monitor progress.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, consultants.
• Own technical deliverables: calculations, design docs, specs.
• Assist in proposals with technical approaches and fee estimates.
• Review designs and documentation to maintain quality.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Participate in client meetings and project updates.
• Support construction administration, RFIs, submittals, changes, closeout.
• Build strong client relationships to grow the practice.
