CSG Talent is recruiting a Senior Water / Wastewater Team Lead for its Baltimore, MD office. The candidate will oversee the Baltimore Water/Wastewater practice, provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and coordinate multidisciplinary project delivery within an established engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland.
• Minimum 21 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering design and project management.
• Strong technical background in municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Baltimore Water / Wastewater engineering team. Oversee day-to-day operations, workload planning, and resource allocation.
• Provide senior technical oversight across design, project execution, and quality assurance; serve as Engineer of Record on selected projects.

CSG Talent is partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineering Team Lead for its Baltimore, Maryland office. Our client has a strong presence across the Mid-Atlantic and an excellent reputation for delivering complex municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Water / Wastewater Engineer looking to combine technical expertise, project delivery, and team management within an established and growing engineering practice. The successful candidate will take a leading role in overseeing the Baltimore Water / Wastewater engineering team, providing technical direction, mentoring engineers, coordinating resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

Lead and support the Baltimore Water / Wastewater engineering team. Oversee day-to-day operations, workload planning, and resource allocation. Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical and professional development. Promote collaboration across engineering disciplines and regional offices. Support the continued growth and development of the local engineering practice.

Project Delivery & Technical Leadership

Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Provide senior technical oversight across engineering design, project execution, and quality assurance. Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) on selected projects. Review engineering designs, technical specifications, and project documentation. Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with technical standards, budgets, and schedules. Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and engineering processes.

Client Relationships & Business Development

Maintain and develop relationships with municipal and public-sector clients. Support business development initiatives, proposals, and project pursuits. Participate in client meetings, project planning, and strategic discussions. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for continued growth. Provide technical and commercial input into project scopes, budgets, and proposals.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) licence in Maryland.
• Minimum 21 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering design and project management.
• Strong technical background in municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Experience providing technical oversight and serving as Engineer of Record.
• Strong understanding of engineering design standards, quality assurance, and project delivery.
• Established relationships within the Maryland or wider Mid-Atlantic water/wastewater market are advantageous.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
• Experience with engineering design and modelling software, including Revit, BIM, or BioWin, is beneficial.
