Nothing Bundt Cakes in Marvin, NC is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to work with the Bakery Manager and team to deliver high-quality cakes, a warm guest experience, and strong profitability. You will share in leadership and help drive day-to-day operations in accordance with NbC standards.

The role emphasizes brand ambassador responsibilities, scheduling, training, and fostering NbC culture while ensuring food safety and exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant or food service, preferably in a lead role.
• Proven success coaching others, training new team members and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes guest experience and models engagement; fosters a positive work environment.
• Partners with Bakery Manager in leading guest experience, cake production, brand presentation, work environment, and inventory control.
• Supports recruiting, selecting and training team members; directs daily work and coaching.
• Ensures product, service, bakery environment and visual standards align with NbC policies and food safety.
• Assists in operational/admin duties including scheduling, productivity goals, payroll processing and expense control.
• Co-manages special-order fulfillment via web and email for individual and corporate orders.
• Co-facilitates opening/closing including cash handling and deposits.
• Contributes to marketing through events and local community involvement.
• Maintains hands-on knowledge of all bakery roles and steps as needed.
