Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes seeks an Assistant Bakery Manager to work with the Bakery Manager and team to deliver high-quality cakes and a warm guest experience. This role shares leadership responsibilities and helps drive sales and profitability while ensuring NbC standards are met.

You will support recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance feedback, oversee cake production, merchandising, and inventory control, and help manage special orders, opening/closing, and local marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in retail/food service.
• Proven track record coaching others and driving productivity.
• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes guest experience and fosters a positive work environment.
• Partners with Bakery Manager on guest experience, cake production, merchandising, scheduling, and inventory.
• Supports recruiting, training, directing daily work, and providing feedback.
• Ensures product, service, health standards and NbC policies are followed.
• Assists in cash handling, scheduling, supply orders and payroll processing.
• Co-manages special-order fulfillment for guests and corporate accounts.
• Co-facilitates opening/closing and contributes to local marketing events.
• Maintains knowledge of all bakery roles and steps for flexibility.
