Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to work with the Bakery Manager and staff to deliver high-quality cakes and a welcoming guest experience. You will lead in collaboration with the Bakery Manager on guest engagement, cake production, merchandising, and daily operations.

The role involves coaching staff, maintaining NbC standards, and supporting scheduling, payroll, and reporting. Must be flexible with shifts and contribute to brand-building events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant or food service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable with new tech.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes the guest experience and fosters a positive work environment.
• Leads guest experience, cake production, and inventory control alongside Bakery Manager.
• Assists in recruiting, training, directing daily work, and coaching team members.
• Ensures product, service, and bakery standards meet NbC policies and health standards.
• Supports operational and administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, and reporting.
• Co-manages special-order fulfillment via web and email for individuals and corporate accounts.
• Participates in opening/closing the bakery and cash handling.
• Contributes to local marketing events and NbC brand presence.
• Maintains knowledge of all bakery roles and cross-trains as needed.
