Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily department operations, ensuring exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include merchandising, inventory control, displays, safety compliance, and staff supervision.

The role requires 18+, 2+ years grocery experience with supervisory experience, flexible scheduling, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with two years of retail grocery experience and two years of supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude interacting with customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks; weigh and label products.
• Stand for long periods and lift items as necessary; maintain safety and Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer satisfaction through leadership of Bakery Clerks and daily supervision of bakery operations.
• Assist Bakery Manager in managing department productivity, inventory controls, and displays.
• Execute merchandise rotation and build attractive displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure product quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines across the bakery team.
