Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily supervision of Bakery Department operations, delivering exceptional customer service.

You will manage department productivity, inventory controls, displays, and ensure product quality and safety in a fast-paced, friendly environment while supporting team growth and shop profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities; able to take direction.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in the bakery area.
• Stand for long hours and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls and supervise the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and monitor product quality.
• Unload deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Enforce safety, health, and sanitation guidelines; ensure team compliance.
