Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily supervision, ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2+ years retail grocery and supervisory experience, a strong focus on safety and quality, and the ability to train and motivate a friendly, high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including night, weekends and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior with strong customer interaction.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping and sanitation duties in the department.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors and related equipment.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to required weights; adhere to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality and Bakery team supervision.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Maintain excellent customer service and product quality in Bakery.
• Unload store deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
