Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. The role emphasizes managing inventory, ensuring product quality, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have at least two years of retail grocery and supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor and positive attitude with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and Bakery team supervision.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and high quality Bakery products.
• Unload deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and Weights & Measures regulations.
