Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You will help manage department merchandising, inventory, and product quality while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate deli equipment.
• Ensure the execution of safety, health, and sanitation guidelines/regulations.
