Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Production Supervisor for an established bakery operation in Rocky Mount, NC. The role oversees a 15–25 person production team across first, second, and third shifts.

Responsibilities include directing daily production, coaching staff, ensuring food safety and quality, monitoring performance, and collaborating with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues. Competitive salary plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Production supervisory experience in food manufacturing; bakery or frozen food experience is especially relevant.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, manage performance, and build accountability.
• Working knowledge of food safety, GMPs, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to work the assigned shift and support production scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities, staffing, and shift assignments.
• Coach, train, and develop employees while setting clear expectations.
• Maintain food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Monitor production performance, address downtime, and improve efficiency.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Communicate priorities and ensure effective shift handoffs.
