Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Bakery Department Manager in Knightdale, NC to supervise bakery operations, ensure guest service excellence, and maintain merchandising programs while stepping in for the department manager when absent.

You will guide training, monitor inventory and quality, manage scheduling and labor budgets, and uphold safety standards to deliver consistent, high-quality baked goods and guest experiences across the department.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Knowledge of bakery operations.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
