Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Bakery Operations Manager in Evanston to lead daily bakery operations, ensuring excellent cookie quality and guest experience. You will hire and coach a diverse team, manage inventory and local marketing, and partner with leadership to hit sales targets.

You will own scheduling, labor, and operations, including late-evening shifts, while fostering a culture of hospitality and accountability across the team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management or leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality.
• Ability to work 2–3 mid-to-late shifts Thu–Sun.
• Hands-on, player-coach leadership style with strong hospitality.
• Strong guest service mindset and ability to coach a team.
• Solid business software literacy and experience hiring with ATS.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day bakery operation, ensuring shifts are staffed and prepared.
• Maintain high standards for cookie quality, speed, cleanliness, and safety.
• Own scheduling and labor execution to meet business needs.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation with controls.
• Lead guest experience and coach teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Hire, onboard, and develop Shift Leaders, Cookie Crew, and Drivers.
• Build a culture of excellence and drive sales performance.
• Partner with District Manager to solve problems and improve bakery.
