Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Bakery Operations Manager in Minneapolis to lead a fast-paced bakery team, drive guest satisfaction, and own sales and operations results. You will hire, coach, and develop shifts, manage scheduling and inventory, and ensure top-quality cookies and guest service during busy late-night periods.

You’ll oversee day-to-day execution, partner with district leadership, and foster a culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in management or leadership in fast-paced settings.
• Availability for a bakery-centric schedule (nights/weekends).
• Hands-on, player-coach leadership style.
• Track record hiring, coaching and retaining teams.
• Strong hospitality mindset and guest focus.
• Business acumen to turn goals into action.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to obtain food safety certifications and operate relevant tech.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day bakery operations, ensure staffing, prep, and setup for each shift.
• Maintain high standards for cookie quality, speed, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Lead scheduling and labor, balance team needs with business needs.
• Manage ordering, inventory, rotation, shrink, and bakery controls.
• Coach teams to deliver warm hospitality and memorable guest experiences.
• Develop Shift Leaders and crew for long-term growth.
• Lead local marketing efforts to drive awareness, traffic, and sales.
