Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Bakery Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced bakery, develop a high-performing team, and own key business metrics. You’ll hire, coach, and guide Shift Leaders, Cookie Crew, and Delivery Drivers while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong financial results.

This hands-on leadership role requires a focus on safety, quality, and local marketing, with opportunities to grow as Insomnia expands its footprint in busy late-night windows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management or leadership experience in fast-paced environments.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes 2–3 mid-to-late shifts (Thu–Sun).
• Hands-on, player-coach leadership style and willingness to jump in where needed.
• Track record of hiring, coaching, developing, and retaining great teams.
• Natural hospitality mindset and focus on guest experience.
• Strong business acumen and ability to drive performance and set priorities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using restaurant/retail technology and systems.
• Ability to obtain required food safety certifications.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day operation of your bakery, ensuring shifts are staffed and set up for success.
• Maintain high standards for cookie quality, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and safety.
• Own scheduling and labor execution balancing team needs with business needs.
• Manage ordering, inventory accuracy, product rotation, shrink, and bakery controls.
• Keep strong operational routines and address gaps quickly when standards aren’t met.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and develop Shift Leaders, Cookie Crew, and Delivery Drivers.
• Create a culture with clear expectations, recognition of performance, and accountability.
• Provide consistent coaching and real-time feedback for growth.
• Develop Shift Leaders to lead shifts, coach teams, and solve problems.
• Build a talent pipeline and opportunities for career growth with Insomnia.
