Job summary

Insomnia Cookies in Philadelphia is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager to help lead daily bakery operations, build a strong, well-trained team, and ensure guest experiences meet our standards.

You’ll coach staff, support recruitment and training, help create schedules, manage inventory, and step in when the BOM is away. This role offers growth into BOM leadership and exposure to end-to-end bakery operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality
• Coaching and developing hourly team members
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Hands-on leadership and willingness to perform bakery roles
• Detail-oriented with multi priority management
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and building great teams
• Must be 18+ and able to obtain food safety certifications

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bakery operations with BOM to deliver guest experiences
• Lead bakery independently when BOM is away
• Coach and develop Shift Leaders and Crew through real-time feedback
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and training
• Create schedules and manage labor to meet needs
• Assist with ordering, inventory, rotation, and shrink control
• Maintain product quality, safety, cleanliness, and execution
• Complete required operational and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with BOM and Area leadership to improve performance
• Foster a culture of accountability and high standards
• Assist during peak hours across roles
