Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) to develop the next generation of Bakery Operations Managers. This role blends hands-on operational excellence with talent development, administrative ownership, and team leadership to run a bakery when needed.

As ABOM, you will act as an extension of the BOM, overseeing core bakery operations, coaching staff, and ensuring quality, safety, and guest experiences while preparing for future BOM ownership across a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations
• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail
• Ability to coach and develop hourly team members
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations including inventory rotation and staffing coordination
• Maintain product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy and shrink control
• Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet targets
• Lead recruiting, onboarding and coaching of new staff
• Own bakery operations when BOM is absent and ensure continuity
