Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area.
• Operate deli equipment and tools as required.
• Meet safety, health, and sanitation guidelines; maintain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer satisfaction through management and leadership of Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily supervision of Bakery operations.
• Assist in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure quality of Bakery products.
• Unload deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
