Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager to work closely with the Bakery Operations Manager. You will help build a energized, well-trained team, craft unforgettable guest experiences, and keep the bakery running smoothly.

You will step up to lead when the BOM is away and will own staffing, inventory, quality, cleanliness, and execution to ensure excellent bakery performance. This role is designed for someone who wants to grow into bakery leadership and potentially run

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment.
• Experience coaching, motivating, and developing hourly team members.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump into any bakery role when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and building great teams.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bakery operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Independently lead the bakery when the BOM is away; keep the team focused.
• Coach and develop Shift Leaders and Cookie Crew members with real-time feedback.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training to build a strong team.
• Help create schedules and manage labor to meet bakery and business needs.
• Assist with ordering, inventory management, product rotation, and shrink control.
• Maintain high standards for product quality, safety, cleanliness, and speed of service.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve bakery performance and implement solutions.
