Job summary

Insomnia Cookies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager to partner with the Bakery Operations Manager, build a strong team, deliver guest experiences, and keep the bakery running at its best.

You will coach Shift Leaders and Crew, assist with staffing, scheduling, inventory, and food safety, and be ready to step up when the BOM is away. This role offers growth into bakery leadership.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment.
• Experience coaching, motivating, and developing hourly team members.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump into any bakery role when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bakery operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Lead the bakery independently when the BOM is away, keeping the team focused and operations running smoothly.
• Coach, motivate, and develop Shift Leaders and Cookie Crew members through real-time feedback and support.
• Assist recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training to build a strong, fully staffed team.
• Help create schedules and manage labor to meet bakery and business needs.
• Support ordering, inventory management, product rotation, and shrink control.
• Maintain high standards for product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and execution.
• Complete operational and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve bakery performance and implement solutions with BOM and Area leadership.
• Foster a culture of accountability and ownership among team members.
