Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager to partner with the Bakery Operations Manager in building a high-energy, well-trained team and delivering outstanding guest experiences. You’ll lead staffing, inventory, quality, cleanliness, and daily execution, stepping up to lead when the BOM isn’t present.

You’ll develop shift leaders and crew, assist in recruiting and training, and help schedule labor to meet bakery needs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment.
• Experience coaching, motivating, and developing hourly team members.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump into any bakery role when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and building great teams.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bakery operations with BOM to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Independently lead the bakery when BOM is away and keep operations running smoothly.
• Coach and develop Shift Leaders and Cookie Crew members with real-time feedback and recognition.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training to build a strong team.
• Help create schedules and manage labor to meet bakery and business needs.
• Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and shrink control.
• Maintain high standards for product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and speed of service.
• Complete required operational and administrative tasks on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve bakery performance and implement solutions with BOM/Area leadership.
• Foster a culture of clear expectations, support, and accountability.
