Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead daily bakery operations, ensuring quality and safety while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will manage production, inventory, staff performance, and merchandising to meet Sprouts standards and drive sales.

The role requires 2+ years in retail grocery, strong communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude toward team members and customers
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment as needed
• Stand for long periods and lift items as required while maintaining safety and sanitation
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output, baking, production, and display of bakery products
• Supervise quality, inventory, and budget within the bakery
• Evaluate operations and implement improved practices and procedures
• Ensure safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards
• Order, receive, unload, and store bakery products
• Rotate merchandise and build displays
• Control inventory, pricing integrity, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit
• Lead, coach, and conduct performance reviews with team members
• Attend in-store meetings and manage promotions and transfers when needed
• Play a key role as MOD or Store Manager on Duty when required
