Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Department, drive performance, and deliver the highest quality products and customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee daily baking output, display, inventory, and scheduling; coach and develop team members; participate in hiring decisions; and ensure strict safety and food-handling standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with 2+ years retail grocery experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customers and team members.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Housekeeping and sanitation of department.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously; lift up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations; Food Handlers permit.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise and monitor product quality, track inventory, and manage the bakery's budget.
• Evaluate department conditions and operations to identify strengths and areas for improvement; develop improved practices.
• Ensure company standards for safety, sanitation, and proper food handling are maintained.
• Responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Manage department inventory, in-stocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other processes to Sprouts standards.
• Plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and engage team members through coaching and feedback.
• Recruit, hire and promote in collaboration with Store Manager; lead as MOD as needed.
