Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to oversee the Bakery Department's overall performance in a fast-paced retail environment. You will manage daily baking production, supervise quality and inventory, and build compelling displays while ensuring safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail grocery experience, a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Good communication skills; able to give and take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise and monitor product quality and consistency; track inventory and manage the bakery's budget.
• Evaluate department conditions and operations; develop improved practices and procedures.
• Ensure safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards.
• Responsible for ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage; rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Manage department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards.
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit; participate in bi-annual performance reviews.
