Job summary

New Seasons Market in the Pacific Northwest seeks a Bakery Assistant Manager II to partner with the Bakery Manager in Oregon/SW Washington, leading bread production, ensuring food safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. The role blends operations, merchandising, and team leadership in a busy grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Customer service, food service, or retail experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of bread, artisan baking techniques, and coffee/tea products.
• Familiarity with inventory management and POS systems.
• Ability to learn new technology/software.

Responsibilities

• Operate all areas of the department, including pastry, beverage, and bread production.
• Ensure department is stocked, rotated, faced, and merchandised.
• Ensure satisfactory in-stock conditions in department.
• Orders pastry products according to business needs and maintains inventory levels.
• Implements weekly ads, events and holidays; produces bakery products per standards.
• Builds displays highlighting seasonal items and ensures quality presentations.
• Trains and coaches staff to maintain beverage quality and consistency.
• Coordinated slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling of finished products.
