Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is hiring a Controls Technician for a large commercial bakery in Swedesboro, NJ. You'll maintain, troubleshoot and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation and process control systems on high-speed food production lines, and provide technical leadership and training to Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.

What You'll Do: Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, and control system documentation.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi software for programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for electrical/controls faults.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, and documentation.
• Support plant utility systems (steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water).
• Ensure GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards; drive continuous improvement.
