Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Technician to maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed food production lines in Swedesboro, NJ.

You will lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root-cause analysis, and train Electro-Mechanics across shifts. The role requires strong knowledge of PLCs, drives, networks, and electrical schematics, with a focus on GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of machine layouts, control drawings, P&IDs, and distributed control systems.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming and troubleshooting software.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, work orders, manuals, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts, ensuring cross-training and safety compliance.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
