Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a high-speed bakery operation in Swedesboro, NJ. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation, and process control systems, guiding Electro-Mechanics across shifts to maximize uptime and safety.

You’ll work with PLCs, drives, networks, and documentation; read schematics and P&IDs; and ensure GMP, safety and quality standards while supporting utility systems and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read layouts, P&IDs, schematics and interconnection diagrams.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming and troubleshooting software.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, work orders, manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical/controls failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and equipment.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, configurations, and documentation.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards; drive continuous improvement.
