Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is hiring a Controls Technician for a large bakery facility in Swedesboro, NJ. You will maintain and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed production lines and provide technical leadership across shifts.

Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance of PLCs, drives, and networks. GMP, safety, and regulatory standards apply daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of machine layouts, control drawings, P&IDs, interconnection diagrams, and distributed control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, work orders, manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens and Mitsubishi programming, configuration, and troubleshooting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and equipment.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, system configurations, and equipment documentation.
