The Kroger Co. is seeking a Grocery Clerk in the United States to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment that prompts repeat visits.

You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, inform customers about bakery/deli items and specials, and prepare foods to order while ensuring proper temperatures and quality standards across all products.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to customers to help discovery of items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh, correctly portioned products to customers to prevent shrink.
• Recommend items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to logs and cook instructions.
• Measure and mix ingredients with utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates; take action as needed.
• Follow food safety regulations and temperature logs.
• Assist customers with questions and product knowledge.
• Promote a welcoming environment for customers.
