The Kroger Co. is seeking a Grocery Clerk for the Bakery/Deli department to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and uphold the company’s quality assurances standards.

As a Grocery Clerk, you will prepare bakery/deli items, offer samples, and inform customers of specials while ensuring correct portions and freshness. A strong emphasis on respect, integrity, and safety guides daily tasks.

• Ability to perform basic math and accurately handle transactions.
• Willingness to obtain a food handlers permit after employment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer samples to help customers discover items and respond to inquiries.
• Inform customers about bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Ensure correct portion sizes and maintain product freshness.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Follow food safety and temperature logs; prepare foods accordingly.
• Label, stock, and inventory items; manage inventory discrepancies.
