Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced department. You will prepare items, offer samples, inform customers about specials, and ensure freshness and proper portions while adhering to safety and quality standards.

You will work closely with the department team to meet sales goals and maintain a welcoming store environment for all customers. Prior bakery/deli or retail experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and math basics.
• Ability to obtain a food handlers permit after hire.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to customers to explore items.
• Inform customers about bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Ensure products are fresh, properly labeled, and portioned to order.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the bakery/deli area and per store guidelines.
