The Kroger Co. is seeking a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced department. You will prepare items per customer requests, promote specials, and ensure freshness and accurate portions across bakery and deli offerings.

With a strong emphasis on safety and quality, you will maintain equipment, logs, and inventory while assisting customers and teammates to create a welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers about bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products and correct portions to prevent waste.
• Recommend deli/bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Operate bakery equipment safely (refrigerators, ovens, slicers, scales).
• Follow recipe instructions and food safety logs.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Monitor temperatures and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining store layout and respond to customer inquiries.
