Hy-Vee is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join our Bakery department. In this role you’ll greet customers, assist with product selection, and help keep the bakery running smoothly. You don’t need prior experience—we’ll provide training.

This hourly position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy in checkout, sanitation, and delivering a friendly, helpful shopping experience. Based in our store bakery, you’ll work closely with Store Director and Bakery Manager to ensure daily orders are fulfilled and products

Qualifications

• You don't need prior experience; Hy-Vee will train you.
• Basic math skills for simple counting and transactions.
• Clear communication with customers and teammates.
• Stay organized in a busy bakery environment.
• High school diploma not required; up to six months' related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide outstanding service at the bakery counter.
• Assist customers in locating products and handling orders.
• Manage product freshness, inventory, and sanitation.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed.
• Operate the department register and process payments when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the shift.
• Work with teammates to ensure a positive customer experience.
