Hy-Vee is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery department by preparing and replenishing products, assisting customers at the bakery counter, and helping create a warm, welcoming shopping experience. You will work as part of a team, maintain cleanliness, and ensure product freshness throughout shifts.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, delivers friendly service, and requires adherence to safety and dress code standards in a busy store bakery environment.

• Use basic math for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy bakery environment.

Responsabilités

• Greet customers warmly and make them feel welcome in the bakery.
• Assist customers with finding products and taking orders at the bakery counter.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed from cooler/freezer.
• Maintain sanitation, clean and organize work area at all times.
• Check in products, put away inventory, and review invoices as needed.
• Operate the department register to process payments as applicable.
• Remove trash timely and maintain a tidy department.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Adhere to Hy-Vee dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
