Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to join our in-store bakery team. You’ll assist customers, stock and replenish baked goods, and help maintain a welcoming, clean bakery environment in a fast-paced retail setting.

No prior experience required; we provide training and support to help you grow within the Bakery department. This role offers hourly pay and opportunities to work with a collaborative team in a busy store setting.

• Basic math skills for counting and recording.

Aufgaben

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and making them feel welcome in the bakery.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and taking orders at the bakery counter.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness, appearance, and supply levels throughout your shift.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed, pulling product from the cooler or freezer to prepare for baking.
• Follow and maintain proper sanitation procedures, keeping your work area clean and organized at all times.
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed.
• Operate the department register to process payments where applicable.
• Remove trash in a timely manner and maintain a tidy department.
• Work alongside teammates to ensure a smooth, positive experience for every customer.
• Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
