Job summary

Chedraui USA's Bakery Department in Houston is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support daily bakery operations under the Bakery Manager. You will assist customers with bakery purchases, maintain displays, and ensure friendly, helpful service.

You will collaborate with the baker to determine items to bake or decorate, manage self-serve displays, and help with department cleaning. Food Handler Card may be required for food prep duties; position supports ages 16-17.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and employees.
• Follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Lift up to 25 lb, frequently up to 45 lb, occasionally up to 60 lb.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service under Bakery Manager supervision.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and manage displays.
• Collaborate with the baker to determine items to bake or decorate.
• Help with department cleaning and maintain cleanliness of areas.
