Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, part of the Chedraui USA family, is seeking a Bakery Clerk for Store 018 Houston-Kirby. The role emphasizes friendly, customer-focused service in a busy bakery environment.

You will assist customers with bakery purchases, take special orders, and help maintain clean, attractive displays. The position involves lifting up to 60 pounds and maintaining food handling standards.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service under the Bakery Manager in a fast-paced grocery environment.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Clean, stock, and rotate bakery displays, front-of-store displays, and display cases.
• Coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate and support department cleanliness.
